Job Description
As a Trainee Cluster Merchandiser Assistant Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience in merchandising operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes, while developing the skills required to lead a team in the future. Upon successful completion of the 1-year training period, trainees will be confirmed as Cluster Merchandiser Assistant Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify stocks sent from different Distribution Centers (DCs) to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation for packages/packets and ensure proper filing.
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, merchandising effectiveness, and other key metrics.
- Implement and maintain visually appealing product displays in accordance with company merchandising guidelines.
- Ensure products are displayed in an organized and customer-friendly manner to enhance sales
- Rotate stock regularly to ensure freshness and minimize ageing.
- Adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles to maintain product quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor at all times.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and priced.
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for improving stock management and merchandising processes.
- Provide suggestions to improve the effectiveness of merchandising strategies based on observations and data analysis.
Job Specification
- Education & Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; freshers keen on a merchandising are welcome to apply.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Should be able to do physical work as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication for interacting with the staff and handling requests.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
- Flexible time must be mobile and should be able to freely travel and be placed anywhere in Nepal.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and merchandising principles.
- Mandatory Requirement
- Must have a valid 2-wheeler license and own a personal vehicle
Note:
Location: Head Office– Daily cluster/field visits (location flexibility required within Kathmandu Valley during the 1-year training period)
Standard Shift: 7 AM – 3 PM
Training Period: Time flexibility required with rotational shifts, including:
- 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- 3:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
