Job Description
  • The program Development officer (PDO) is responsible for assisting CARE Nepal's program staff to write concept notes and proposals for submission to donors.
  • All work produced by the PDO will need to support the delivery of CARE International's programs in Nepal, line with a recently revised internal program strategy and CARE Nepal program framework.
  • The position requires closely working with thematic coordinators, technical specialists and budgeting experts during the design process with guidance from the senior coordinator for program development and impact Assessment.
  • The incumbent will be expected to ensure the mainstreaming of gender and social inclusion considerations into all designs documents.
Job Specification
  • Understanding of the development sector and key players be it foundations, donor agencies and
    counterparts.
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written.
  • Negotiation and coordination skills.
  • Good Inter-personal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong logical and lateral thinking.
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural team and with different stake-holders.
  • Willingness to travel to the field.
