Job Description

Valley Group Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, good command of accounting software and MS Excel, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledgers, journals, and financial records.
  • Review and verify accounting entries prepared by junior accounting staff.
  • Lead, guide, and supervise 2–3 junior accountants, including assigning tasks and monitoring their work.
  • Perform bank, cash, receivable, payable, and other account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, receivables, payables, and other financial activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment and documentation of business transactions.
  • Handle inventory-related accounting and coordinate with relevant departments for accurate stock and financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Nepalese tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist with VAT, TDS, tax filings, and other relevant tax-related matters.
  • Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial documents and information.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide accurate financial information and insights to management for decision-making.
  • Coordinate with HR, Operations, Procurement, and other departments regarding financial and accounting matters.
  • Ensure timely completion of accounting tasks, reports, and statutory deadlines.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar mid-level role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Practical knowledge of Nepalese tax regulations, VAT, TDS, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
  • Good understanding of inventory accounting and operational finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
