Overall Accountability
The CFO shall be accountable for ensuring that GEMS Group maintains a financially sustainable, transparent, controlled, and strategically aligned financial environment that supports the Group's growth and long-term objectives.
The CFO shall serve as the principal financial advisor to the Board of Directors, ensuring that every major financial decision is supported by reliable information, appropriate analysis, clear risk assessment, and sound financial judgment.
The CFO shall ensure that the finance function of GEMS Group evolves from a primarily transactional function into a strategic business-partner function, enabling management and the Board to understand financial performance, anticipate risks, optimize resources, and make informed decisions for sustainable growth.
Companies under GEMS Group
The CFO shall have financial oversight over all existing and future companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, investments, and other entities of GEMS Group, irrespective of sector, geography, or mode of ownership, as approved by the Board of Directors from time to time, which includes but is not limited to:
- GEMS School
- Little Flowers' English School
- Thunderbolts Development Center
- Helios Hospital
- Kabeli Hydro
- Avya Club
- Karmanya Ventures
Job Specification
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role
Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
Experience in strategic decision-making, risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Experience managing finance teams and working with senior management, Boards of Directors, investors, or other key stakeholders.
