Since 1984, LWF Nepal is engaging in Eastern Region through humanitarian and disaster risk management, sustainable development and human rights promotion initiatives. Regional Office East (ROE) is a field office of LWF Nepal and a composition of diverse capacity of the staffs as well as nature and stage of the projects implementing in the Eastern Development Region. Obviously, it is expected that the knowledge, virtue and skill of each staffs and project team enrich the organizational learning and benefit individual staffs as well as organization.
Community Service Associate (CDA) of the Bhutanese Refugee Project of Regional Office East will report to Community Service & Governance Officer (SCGO) and will work with the guidance of Community Service Officer. Her/his duties will include the following:
A. General:
-
FamiliarizeandworkinaccordancewiththeVision,Mission,OverallGoalsandObjectivesofLWFasa Humanitarian Organization.

Familiarize and work in accordance with the established strategies of LWF Nepal.
-
Familiarize and work accordance with the LWF Nepal policies.
-
Be free from the political influence of any parties and the political activities.
B. Specific:
-
Assist CSO in making proposal and budget estimation on CBDP activities both in refugee and host community.
-
Assist CSO to conduct meeting with CBOs, Government Official, UNHCR and Implementing partners and share the meeting minutes to all.
-
Monitor the project’s physical and financial progress of partner CBOs and report on them regularly.
-
Assist CSO for preparing budget breakdown and activity plan for hygiene awareness, awareness raising through Community Network, life -long skill, vocational training and targeted assistant to person with
specific needs.

AssistCSOforpreparingTOR,guidelinesandpoliciesandcapacitybuildinginitiativesforCBOs,Groups
and handover activities.

Prepare and submit annual and quarterly work plan of the program, personal monthly work-plan and
progress reports regularly.

Assist CSO for effective planning, management, implementation, monitoring and supervision of
community development activities.

Maintain good rapport and working relation with local like-minded organizations and government
authorities.
-
Ensure better coordination with implementing Partners and other stakeholders at all level.
-
Facilitate visitors of the organization as and when needed.
-
Consider the environment protection through minimum and effective use of resources like vehicle, paper,
water, electricity and other consumption.

Prepare, collect and document all the reports, feature stories, success stories in connection to lifelong skill,
vocational training and livelihood and host community support activities.
13. Perform other tasks, which may be assigned by SCGO and Regional Program Coordinator (RPC) as per the need of the organization
14. Ensure compliances of LWF Nepal policies, child protection policy and code of conduct 15. Contribute to strengthen accountability and resource mobilization/fund raising initiatives
C. Other duties:

Familiarize her/him with LWF Nepal's policies and procedures like country strategy, country operational program plan (COPP), respective project documents, finance policy, RMT’s TOR, human resource policy, management guidelines, code of conduct, child protection policy, RMT’s TOR complaint mechanism, accountability framework, workforce diversity policy, gender equality and social inclusion mainstreaming guideline (GESIMO Guideline), human rights based approach to development, AIN social audit guidelines, etc.

Ensure compliances of LWF Nepal policies, child protection policy and code of conduct

Contribute to strengthen accountability in LWF Nepal.

Contribute to strengthen gender and social inclusion in LWF Nepal

Contribute to strengthen resource mobilization in LWF Nepal Attend LWF Nepal's forums and meetings
as and when required

Job Specification
Qualification and Competencies:
-
Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas (including Women Development, Humanities, Social Science, etc.) from an accredited university
-
Minimum three years’ experience in similar jobs from similar organizations
-
Ability in program planning, budgeting, staff supervision, progress monitoring, financial monitoring,
facilitating training/workshop/seminar , coordination (with authorities and stakeholders), and reporting
ability
-
Ability in project proposal/grant writing
-
Good command of English (written and verbal)
-
Command in MS Office and documentation
-
Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
-
Pro-poor aptitude and people-friendly nature will be an important quality for this job
-
Knowledge of UNHCR processes and procedures in the context of Bhutanese Refugee field operations
will be a plus advantage.
