Job Description

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Cook to prepare high-quality, hygienic, and delicious meals while maintaining proper kitchen standards. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the menu, recipes, and required standards.
  • Ensure food is prepared with good taste, quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Handle, store, and preserve food ingredients properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and cooking area.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Monitor ingredient stock levels and inform the supervisor about replenishment requirements.
  • Ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
  • Maintain and properly use kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
  • Minimize food wastage and maintain appropriate portion sizes.
  • Assist in menu planning and suggest new dishes when required.
  • Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
  • Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Job Specification
  • Minimum SLC/SEE or equivalent; culinary training is an advantage.
  • 1 year of relevant cooking experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, spices, and food preparation.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of Nepali, Indian, Continental, or other cuisines as required.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Physically fit, responsible, disciplined, and punctual.
  • Positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
