Job Description
  • Responsible for researching, collecting data, and writing of each grant.
  • Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate and follow-ups on the progress of submitted proposals.
  • Identify funding opportunities and new program areas to match client’s priorities using research tools.
  • Work with department managers to compile financials and data
  • Generate proposals and supporting documents in response to solicitations.
  • Generate revenues for client programs and services through timely submission of well-researched. Well written and well –documents grant/ fund- raising proposals.
  • Prepare reports to government, corporate, foundations and other funders.
  • Acts as liaison with program staffs.
  • Liaise to all funding agencies or organizations.
  • Engage with program officers at organizations to solicit invitations to submit proposals.
  • Writing, submitting and managing grant proposals.
  • Manage the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials.
  • Furnishing prospective funders with supporting documents.
  • Keep careful records to track their proposals.
Job Specification

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (Master degree preferred) in Sociology, Research and statistics, (creative grant) writing or other related field.
  • Minimum Three years’ experience on Grant/ Proposal writing.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural diverse environment and under pressure;
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and tactful manner. Adhere to strict confidentiality involving, staffing concerns and internal/external correspondence.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Sound Knowledge of Grant writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • An analytical approach to work.
  • High numeracy and sound technical skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Team work skills.
  • Clear, precise and compelling writing skills (both Nepali and English)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
