Job Description
Job Purpose:
To assist in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining books of accounts, including vouchers, invoices, and bills
- Record daily transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- Maintain vendor and customer accounts and reconcile balances
- Support monthly bank reconciliation statements
- Coordinate with internal departments for billing and payment follow-ups
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy of accounting entries
- Timely completion of reports and filings
- Compliance with accounting and statutory requirements
Job Specification
Education:
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of accounting principles
Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting
- Exposure to construction or trading firms preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of accounting standards and taxation
- Experience with accounting software (Tally) preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic understanding of financial documentation
