Job Description

RRB Logistics is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the company's financial reporting and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and experience handling accounts for a logistics or trading business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update general ledger, journal entries, and financial records
  • Prepare invoices, process payments, and manage accounts receivable/payable
  • Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS, and other statutory tax filings as per Nepal's tax regulations
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
  • Manage payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
  • Track and reconcile logistics-related costs (fuel, freight, vehicle maintenance, vendor payments)
  • Monitor budgets and flag discrepancies or cost overruns
  • Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, and government offices (Inland Revenue Department, etc.) as required
  • Support management with financial data for decision-making
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or trading sectors
  • Strong knowledge of Nepal tax laws (VAT, TDS, Income Tax)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with logistics/freight billing and vendor cost management
  • Familiarity with Nepal Rastra Bank and customs-related documentation (for import/export logistics)
