RRB Logistics is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the company's financial reporting and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and experience handling accounts for a logistics or trading business.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update general ledger, journal entries, and financial records
Prepare invoices, process payments, and manage accounts receivable/payable
Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS, and other statutory tax filings as per Nepal's tax regulations
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
Manage payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
Monitor budgets and flag discrepancies or cost overruns
Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions
Liaise with banks, vendors, and government offices (Inland Revenue Department, etc.) as required
Support management with financial data for decision-making
Job Specification
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or trading sectors
Strong knowledge of Nepal tax laws (VAT, TDS, Income Tax)
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with logistics/freight billing and vendor cost management
Familiarity with Nepal Rastra Bank and customs-related documentation (for import/export logistics)
