- Understand machine learning algorithms and statistical and computational complexity
- Analyze and solve business problems through machine learning and data mining
- Evaluate machine learning models using industry-standard metrics
- Investigate new APIs and learn how to use them
- Produce technical design documents
- Write industry-standard code in Python and perform code reviews
- Perform unit tests and debug / fix software defects
- Perform other related tasks as necessary
