Job Description

The Chief of Administration is responsible for leading and overseeing all administrative, operational, and support functions of the Orchard Institute. This role ensures efficient day-to-day operations, compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and supports the academic and strategic goals of the institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily administrative operations of the institute including human resources, facilities, procurement, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies, systems, and procedures to support institutional efficiency.
  • Supervise and coordinate with administrative staff and support departments.
  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation in coordination with the finance department.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and educational standards.
  • Facilitate internal communication between departments and external communication with partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support strategic planning and institutional development initiatives.
  • Monitor infrastructure and maintenance needs to ensure a safe and efficient learning environment.
  • Manage vendor contracts and service providers.
  • Handle institutional records, reporting, and documentation.

 

Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Education Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in an administrative leadership role, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Strong understanding of Nepalese education regulations and institutional management.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and administrative software.
  • Budgeting and financial planning experience.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with HR and procurement policies and procedures.
