Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer with strong accounting knowledge to manage purchasing activities and ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should have experience working with NGOs and be familiar with VAT, tax regulations, and financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, manage, and execute procurement processes in compliance with company/NGO policies
Source and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing
Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain procurement records
Coordinate with finance/accounts team for payment processing and budgeting
Ensure proper documentation and audit compliance for all procurement activities
Handle VAT, tax calculations, and ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely supply of materials/services
Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance
Support financial reporting related to procurement activities

Job Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 3–4 years of experience in procurement (NGO experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of VAT, tax regulations, and financial processes
Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge is required
Familiarity with procurement policies, documentation, and audit requirements
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., Tally or similar)
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
