Job Description
The Spare Parts Officer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and controlling the inventory of spare parts and related materials. The role ensures the availability of required parts for smooth operation, timely maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, or vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all spare parts, tools, and related materials.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming spare parts and ensure they match purchase orders.
- Issue spare parts to maintenance teams or other departments as required.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely procurement to prevent shortages.
- Maintain proper storage conditions and labeling of spare parts to avoid damage or loss.
- Assist in periodic stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain records of parts usage, returns, and damaged items.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and follow-up on pending orders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
- Support maintenance and operational teams by providing necessary spare parts efficiently.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administrations or related field.
- Previous experience in inventory management, spare parts management, or procurement is preferred.
- Knowledge of spare parts, machinery, and equipment.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software or MS Office.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Working Conditions:
- Office and warehouse environment.
- May require lifting and handling of spare parts.
- Regular coordination with suppliers, maintenance teams, and other departments.
