Sean Leffers is a design-led, to-the-trade textile house rooted in historic craft, global production partnerships, and a deep commitment to beauty and integrity. Our collections are developed with master artisans across Asia and distributed through leading showrooms globally.

We are entering a period of significant growth and are building the operational infrastructure to support it with clarity, precision, and care.

We are seeking a Director of Operations, Asia to establish and lead our Kathmandu office and oversee production across our Asia-based supply chain.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can operate with both discipline and judgment — managing people, systems, and vendor relationships across Nepal, India, and the United States.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our operations run quietly, accurately, and without friction as the business scales.

• Lead and manage the Kathmandu operations team (supply chain, inventory, fulfillment, IT)
• Oversee production across Asia, maintaining close relationships with mills and vendors
• Ensure real-time visibility into production timelines, inventory, and order flow
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting to California headquarters
• Identify and resolve operational risks early (delays, quality issues, logistics disruptions)
• Coordinate closely with California-based leadership across operations, sales, and design
• Support the implementation and maintenance of systems
• Build a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement within the Kathmandu office

• 5–10+ years experience in operations, supply chain, sourcing, or logistics
• Strong experience working across South Asia (Nepal/India preferred)
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and systems-driven
• Calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving ability
• Able to manage both people and vendors with clarity and respect
• Comfortable operating in a cross-cultural, international environment

This is not a maintenance role — it is a foundational one.

You will play a central role in building the operational backbone of a growing international company, ensuring that our systems support our ambitions without compromising quality or integrity.

• Based in Kathmandu
• Reports to the CEO (California)
• Works closely with California-based Director of Operations and Director of Sales
• Requires periodic international travel to India, the US, and Europe.
