About the role
We are seeking a proactive leader to lead our foundational English program. This role is unique; it requires someone who can teach absolute beginners from scratch while simultaneously leading and developing a team of mentors. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality of our online sessions and ensuring student success through effective leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Teacher Leadership: Lead foundational English lessons for beginners, ensuring students with zero prior knowledge can grasp basic grammar and conversational skills.
- Mentor Management & Training: Supervise a team of mentors, training them to lead their own online sessions effectively.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Perform regular QA on mentor-led sessions, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable feedback.
- Curriculum & Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the syllabus and monitor student progression to ensure learning outcomes are being met.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify gaps in student or mentor performance and implement solutions independently.
Job Specifications
- Education & Experience: Experience as a school English teacher, specifically with beginners.
- Mentorship Background: Proven ability to lead, train, and manage others in an educational or professional setting.
- Tech-Savvy: Highly comfortable with computers and proficient in leading sessions via online platforms.
- Grammar Expertise: Exceptional command of basic English grammar and the ability to teach it simply.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to provide constructive feedback and motivate a team.
