Position Summary

Are you creative, energetic, and passionate about our college community? Do you have a knack for capturing moments and telling stories through photos, videos, and social media? We are looking for a dynamic and talented individual to serve as our Official Content Creator!

This is a unique opportunity to become the official storyteller for our college's activities. You will be responsible for creating engaging digital content that showcases student life, promotes events, and celebrates the spirit of our college. Your work will be featured on the college's official social media channels, website, and other promotional materials, giving you a platform to build a portfolio and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation:
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of various college events, including sports games, and student club activities.
  • Produce short-form videos (e.g., Facebook/Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) that are trendy, engaging, and informative.
  • Design simple, eye-catching graphics for event announcements, reminders, and campaigns.
  • Conduct brief interviews with students, teachers, and guests/judges to create spotlight features.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Assist in managing and posting content to the college's official social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok).
  • Develop a content calendar in collaboration with the ECA Coordinator to ensure consistent and timely posts.
  • Monitor social media trends to keep our college's content fresh, relevant, and exciting.
  • Promotion & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the ECA Department, and various student clubs to effectively promote their upcoming activities and events.
  • Act as a key player in building college spirit and increasing student participation in activities.
  • Collaborate with other student club’s media handling groups to share resources and ideas.


Required:

  • A strong passion for our college and a positive attitude.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using a smartphone for photography and videography.
  • Active and knowledgeable user of major social media platforms.


Preferred (Not Required, but a plus!):

  • GCM Alumni
  • Experience with video editing software.
  • Experience with graphic design tools.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in photography, videography, or social media management is a bonus.
