Job Responsibilities
Patient Interaction & Services
â— Greet and attend patients in person and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner.
â— Address patient inquiries and provide information on services, procedures, and directions.
â— Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision, maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality.
â— Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documentation, offering support as needed.
Front Desk Operations
â— Manage front desk operations, ensuring the area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
â— Collect and process payments for services rendered, providing receipts and maintaining accurate records.
â— Dispatch patient reports
â— Monitor the waiting area to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients.
â— Ensure the availability of necessary forms and supplies for patient processing.
â— Handle appointment rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-up reminders with patients.
Documentation & Reporting
â— Maintain and update patient records with accuracy, ensuring confidentiality in line with regulatory requirements.
â— Complete accurate documentation of patient visits and interactions.
â— Prepare daily and monthly reports on front desk activities, patient statistics, and other relevant metrics.
Communication & Coordination
â— Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, directing them to appropriate departments when necessary.
â— Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and patient flow.
◠Handle patients’ complaints and issues promptly and effectively, escalating to higher management when required.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
â— Adhere strictly to the policies and procedures of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with ISO 15189:2022 standards.
â— Stay updated with healthcare regulations and best practices, applying them to front desk operations.
â— Support the organization of health camps and other events as needed.
Skill & Competencies
â— Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
â— Proficiency in using Laboratory Information System (LIS) software and MS Office.
â— Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
â— Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
â— Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
