Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in automating and optimizing our software delivery process.

As Senior Network Engineer your responsibilities would typically be to:

• Design and deploy data center networks using Arista, Juniper, Cisco, and Brocade Vyatta hardware
• Configure and manage ISP transit links, BGP peering sessions (multi-home environments), and IPSEC/IKE VPN tunnels for global connectivity.
• Implement and optimize routing policies (BGP, OSPF) to minimize latency and maximize up for customer traffic.
• Set up and maintain load balancers with Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) for traffic distribution.
• Install and configure firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) with security-focused rulesets and audit existing configurations.
• Perform zero-downtime upgrades of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) in production environments.
• Conduct capacity planning to scale infrastructure in alignment with business growth.
• Troubleshot hardware/software issues across L2-L7 layers, including packet capture analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Enforce SSL/TLS best practices for secure data transmission.
• Mitigate DDoS attacks and implement network security policies.
• Audit firewall rulesets and VPN configurations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Build automation scripts (Python, Bash) and IaC templates (Ansible, Terraform) to streamline deployments.
• Develop monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios or any other tools for real-time visibility into network health.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data center networking, preferably in a public facing including SaaS/cloud infrastructure and on-premises servers.
• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, Arista ACE, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree is completed in relevant fields.

Core Networking Expertise:

L2 Protocols & Technologies:

• VLANs, VXLAN, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, LLDP, 802.1Q.

L3 Protocols & Technologies:

• Advanced BGP (eBGP/iBGP, route reflectors, communities, traffic engineering).
• OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VRF, GRE, and static routing.
• IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting, and NAT/PAT.

L4-L7 Knowledge:

• TCP/UDP, SSL/TLS handshake, HTTP/S, DNS (authoritative/resolver), NTP/PTP.
• Load balancing concepts (F5 BIG-IP, A10): L4/L7 policies, GSLB, health checks.
• Firewall rule management (Palo Alto, Fortinet): Stateful inspection, IDS/IPS, application-layer filtering.
• Packet Analysis - Wireshark/tcpdump for identifying latency, retransmissions, and misconfigurations.
