Summary

Cedar Gate Technologies is looking for a Systems Opns Engineer with strong experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and system automation in the infrastructure department. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions to support our cloud-based applications and services. Additionally, they will play a critical role in managing deployments and releases, incident handling, monitoring, and ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our platform.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins
• Coordinate and manage deployments and releases, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery of features and updates to production environments
• Perform day-to-day operations through predefined playbooks
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they integrate with cloud and DevOps platforms
• Maintain 24/7 availability of AWS infrastructure, including monitoring, incident management, and on-call duties
• Build pipelines to automate platform deployments (CI/CD) and ensure efficient release management
• Secure the environment with robust IT security practices and updates
• Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity
• Monitor infrastructure, network, and resources to detect and resolve issues proactively
• Handle and respond to incidents, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure system stability and uptime
• Lead incident response efforts,identifying root causes, implementing fixes, and learning from incidents to improve future processes
• Write Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using industry-standard tools and services
• Collaborate with global teams to design optimal platform architecture
• Perform other related tasks as necessary
  
  

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a technical field such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI/ML services (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, or equivalent services on other cloud platforms)
• Strong scripting and automation skills using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and shared responsibility models
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and Git
• Experience with incident handling, monitoring, deployments, and releases
• Strong desire to learn and utilize technology effectively
• Strong written and communication skills
• Flexibility to work off hours if required (Morning/Evening/Night/Weekend)
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new things
