Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Account Specialist, based in Kathmandu, Nepal. We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Specialist to support US-based clients with bookkeeping, accounting, and tax preparation assistance. This role involves working closely with internal teams and US stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with US accounting and tax standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for US clients using accounting software QuickBooks
  • Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan transactions
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting schedules
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare basic financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

Tax Support

  • Assist in preparation of US federal and state tax returns (individual, partnership, and corporate)
  • Organize tax workpapers and client documentation
  • Support tax compliance tasks under supervision of senior accountants

Client & Internal Coordination

  • Communicate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Support US teams with bookkeeping and tax filings
  • Adhere to firm policies, timelines, and quality standards


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Semi CA / ACCA candidates preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting (US accounting exposure preferred)
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP fundamentals
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and MS Excel
  • Good English writing & communication skills
  • Basic understanding of US tax concepts (training will be provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a structured, on-site professional environment
