Job SummaryThe Service Advisor cum Technician is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while performing technical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure. This role acts as a bridge between customers and the technical team, ensuring accurate job diagnosis, timely service delivery, and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Advisory
- Receive customers, understand service concerns, and accurately record job requirements.
- Explain service procedures, repair estimates, timelines, and warranty policies to customers.
- Provide clear updates on service status and ensure customer satisfaction at delivery.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain service history and customer records in the system.
- Perform inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Ather EVs and related systems.
- Conduct software updates, calibration, testing, and quality checks as per Ather standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and connectivity issues.
- Support installation, inspection, and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure when required.
- Ensure proper usage of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Prepare job cards, service reports, and spare parts requests accurately.
- Coordinate with parts, warranty, and operations teams for smooth workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and service bays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and technical guidelines.
- Maintain daily service logs, job completion reports, and inventory usage records.
- Support audit requirements and internal reporting.
- Document recurring technical issues and suggest improvement actions.
- Support junior technicians and assist in on-the-job training when required.
- Participate in technical training programs and product updates.
- Contribute to service quality improvement and customer experience initiatives.
- Diploma / Technical certification in Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in EVs, two-wheelers, or automobile service preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics tools, and service processes.
- Strong communication and customer handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Willingness to travel for field service if required.
- Basic computer and reporting skills.
