Position Overview

We seek a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee and streamline all cheese packing and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will ensure timely order processing, efficient delivery planning, team productivity, and high hygiene and quality standards. This role is essential for smooth operations and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Packing Room Operations: Oversee daily activities in the cheese packing room to ensure efficiency and order accuracy.
• Order Management: Receive client calls, accurately record orders, categorise orders that are mainly distributed on Tuesdays and Fridays, and ensure all our retail shop orders are dispatched by 10 AM.
• Delivery Planning: Map out daily delivery routes and assign delivery personnel to ensure the timely delivery of our products.
• Task Monitoring: Track the completion status of daily tasks, ensure every product is dispatched with proper labels (date, price, batch), identify pending activities, and ensure follow-up.
• Team Hygiene & Safety: Enforce hygiene protocols for all team members to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Stock Accounting: Account for opening stock and closing stock daily to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Software use: Enter Data in our upcoming inventory management system, enter sales in our tally software, and be responsible for ordering from our cheese farms.
• Team Supervision: Monitor and check the performance of all team members, providing guidance and support to boost productivity.
• Client Engagement: Create and maintain a list of clients who have not placed orders in over 7 days for follow-up and engagement.
• Billing & Payments: Responsible for generating client bills or delegating billing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Cheque Management: Ensure cheques are collected and deposited promptly to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Leadership: Lead and motivate the team to deliver the highest quality of work and maintain operational excellence.
• 2 Markets: Responsible for accounting for the items dispatched to the markets and items that are returned from the market.

• Proven experience in coordinating packing or warehouse operations, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and hygiene standards.
• Basic accounting and billing knowledge.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
