Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Workshop Manager located in Satungal, Kathmandu. The Assistant Workshop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workshop operations, coordinating with the workshop team, ensuring quality control, managing inventory, and maintaining workshop safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of service quality standard, important part of strategy and procedure for smooth operation of workshop.
- Ensuring workshop service team have adequately trained technicians in place to fulfill requirement of planned and non-planned service and maintenance jobs.
- Ensuring vehicle problem solving and delivering procedure is performed on schedule and time.
- Resolving all the service and maintenance jobs professionally and in efficient manner and ensure customer's delight.
- Ensuring the correct level of supervision is available at all times and that working hours are so determined to cover normal, out of hours and contact work.
- Understand about customer relationship management and make regular customer visits.
- Control workshop budget and manage procurement of parts, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction as per company standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. An MBA degree will be a plus.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a workshop setting, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in the commercial/industrial vehicle or heavy equipment industry is preferred.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of workshop safety regulations and compliance standards.
