Job Description
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Officer + Virtual Assistant with a background in marketing or communications. This role is a hybrid of administrative and creative tasks, vital to the smooth operation and growth of our business. You’ll support marketing campaigns, client communication, content creation, and internal documentation efforts. Success in this position looks like consistent execution of tasks with minimal supervision, adaptability in learning new tools, and a proactive mindset to drive results. Your ability to take initiative, stay organized, and communicate effectively will be key to your success.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of marketing campaigns, including email blasts and social media content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Edit short-form video content for reels, stories, and events using tools such as Canva or other simple editing software
- Answer and respond to client communications, including emails, texts, and phone calls through RingCentral or similar platforms
- Schedule and manage appointments and meetings using Vagaro or calendar tools
- Assist in rewriting or creating technical manuals, SOPs, and training materials in Word, Google Docs, or Apple Pages
- Support with graphic design and presentation tasks using Canva, PowerPoint, or Keynote
- Participate in virtual meetings via Zoom and take notes or action items as needed
- Manage content uploads and updates on Squarespace websites
- Research solutions independently when given limited direction and demonstrate resourcefulness
- Provide general administrative and business development support as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in a virtual assistant, admin, or marketing support role
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Experience with or willingness to learn:
- Software/Platforms: Canva, Vagaro, Squarespace, Word/Google Docs, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Zoom, RingCentral
- Social Media: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube
Ability to edit basic video content for social media (Canva or other tools; Adobe Suite is a plus)
Demonstrated ability to follow directions while also being inquisitive and proactive
Comfortable multitasking in a dynamic work environment
