Job Description
The Delivery Trainee will assist the Delivery Manager in supporting project execution, process optimization, and client communication. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in IT service delivery, ensuring smooth project workflows while working within structured guidelines.The trainee will support delivery initiatives and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Core IT, People & Culture, Finance, Legal, and Facility teams. The focus will be on tracking commitments, assisting with impediment resolution, and enhancing visibility into project progress under the guidance of the delivery manager to facilitate smooth project transitions and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Communication:
- Assist in client onboarding by ensuring smooth handovers from Sales to CS & Delivery.
- Support regular client communication and maintain logs, including status updates, issue tracking, and expectation management.
- Support the coordination of client meetings, ensuring that discussions remain focused and productive.
- Maintain documentation for client requests, KPIs, and key project milestones.
- Assist in tracking delivery timelines, key milestones, and project risks as directed by the Delivery Manager.
- Support commitment management by ensuring project deliverables align with client expectations.
- Monitor potential impediments and escalate them to the Delivery Manager for resolution.
- Help prepare status reports and project updates to maintain transparency across teams.
- Assist in managing cross-functional collaboration between CSD, Engineering, and other departments.
- Support agile ceremonies as applicable and document action points.
- Assist in updating and maintaining dashboards, documentation, and delivery reports.
- Help analyze delivery metrics and KPIs to track project health and efficiency.
- Maintain and update project documentation, dashboards, and knowledge repositories.
- Assist in process optimization initiatives to enhance service delivery efficiency under the guidance of the Delivery Manager.
- Work with People & Culture to communicate recruitment requirements and ensure hiring is done on time and as per client need
- Draft necessary support documents for Finance & Legal to ensure compliance with contracts, invoicing, and service agreements.
- Collaborate with Engineering & Core IT for technical requirements of resources and projects.
Education:
- A master's degree in business administration is preferred, with additional value placed on familiarity with the IT industry and Agile framework.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence etc.) and basic understanding of Agile and project management methodologies would be a plus.
- Hands-on exposure to IT service delivery
- Experience in client handling, Agile project execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Pathway to transition into a Delivery Coordinator or Junior Project Manager role based on performance.
- Accuracy & Timeliness – Assisting in project tracking, reporting, and updates.
- Client Support & Communication – Ensuring clear and structured client interactions.
- Process Adherence – Following delivery guidelines and best practices set by the Delivery Manager.
- Proactive Assistance – Identifying challenges and escalating issues effectively.
