Islington College, based in Kathmandu, Nepal, is a premium institution offering UK University Education since 1996. The college focuses on providing high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in IT and Business in partnership with London Metropolitan University, UK.
Role Description:
We are looking for Full-time Faculty Members specializing in Web Development, Software Engineering and Cyber Security modules at Islington College Kathmandu. The faculty members will be responsible for delivering lectures, developing course materials, conducting assessments, and providing guidance to students. This is an on-site role where the Faculty Member will actively engage with students and academic staff.
Qualifications:
Faculty members for modules in Web Development:
- Expertise in front-end and back-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Proficiency in server-side technologies such as Node.js, Django, Flask, or PHP is a plus point.
- Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience in delivering lectures and developing course materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Faculty members for modules in Software Engineering:
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and SDLC.
- Experience with software architecture, design patterns, and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks, debugging techniques, and software quality assurance.
- Experience in delivering lectures and developing course materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Faculty members for modules in Cyber Security:
- Expertise in cryptography, network security, penetration testing, OWASP Top Ten, and security frameworks.
- Proficiency in security tools such as Metasploit, Wireshark, and vulnerability assessment platforms.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
- Experience in delivering lectures and developing course materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related discipline.
