Miyo Invites applications from dynamic and strategic leaders for the position of Chief Business Officer (CBO). This role is pivotal in driving the company’s business growth, digital transformation, client expansion, and strategic partnerships in a highly competitive capital-market landscape. The Chief Business Officer (CBO) will lead the Business, Marketing, Research, Products, and Customer Relations verticals of Miyo Securities. The role demands a visionary who understands capital markets, brokerage operations, regulatory frameworks, and revenue-driven strategies. The CBO will work closely with the Senior Management, Directors, and Operations teams to steer the company toward sustainable growth and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Lead revenue planning, forecasting, product pipeline, and growth targets.
  • Identify expansion opportunities: new branches, new customer segments, new products (DP, PMS, Margin Lending etc.).
  • Drive digital adoption and automation across services.

Sales & Marketing Leadership

  • Oversee all sales channels: corporate sales, retail sales, digital acquisition, and partner networks.
  • Ensure monthly/quarterly sales targets are met for brokerage volume, active clients, DP accounts.
  • Guide marketing campaigns (branding, digital marketing, investor education).
  • Strengthen high-value client acquisition (HNIs, UHNWIs, Institutions).

Product & Service Innovation

  • Lead development of tech-enabled services (mobile trading, B2B APIs, research products).
  • Work with IT to improve the trading platform experience, user journey, onboarding flow, and support systems.
  • Monitor global and local brokerage trends to introduce competitive products.

Client Experience & Retention

  • Improve client lifecycle management, query turnaround times, and service quality.
  • Establish CRM systems, client segmentation models, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Oversee VIP/Corporate Client Desk and Branch Operations coordination.

Regulatory & Compliance Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Compliance Officer for business-related regulatory updates, SEBON/NEPSE/CDSC requirements, and operational alignment.
  • Ensure all business expansion and marketing activities are legally compliant.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead Business Development, Sales, Research & Insights, Products, and Marketing teams.
  • Mentor team members, improve execution standards, and enhance cross-department collaboration.
Job Specification
  • Master’s degree in Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.
  • MBA/EMBA preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in:
    • Capital markets
    • Brokerage business
    • Merchant banking
    • Banking/financial institutions
    • Fintech or investment advisory
  • At least 3 years in senior leadership / strategic roles.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Equity & derivatives trading
    • Market dynamics of NEPSE
    • Regulatory environment (SEBON, CDSC, NRB)
    • Brokerage operations, DP services, online trading platforms
