The Assistant Account Officer will support the financial operations of the company by maintaining accurate records of all daily transactions. You will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, managing accounts receivable (party ledgers), and proficiency in accounting software and ensuring that inventory records match financial entries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Bookkeeping: Handle day-to-day accounting entries including cash/bank transactions, expenses, and vouchers.
- Billing & Invoicing: Generate accurate sales invoices for customers and ensure timely posting of purchase bills from suppliers.
- Ledger Management: Prepare and reconcile party ledger accounts. Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Inventory Accounting: Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring the physical stock matches the digital records in the accounting system.
- Documentation: Organize and maintain systematic files for all financial documents, tax invoices, and legal company records.
- Banking & Compliance: Assist in bank reconciliations, cheque preparation, and gathering documentation for VAT/Tax filing
