Job Description

The Graphic Designer Assistant will support the design team in creating visual concepts and materials that communicate the company’s brand and messaging effectively. He/she will assist in the development of various design projects, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms and materials. This role involves close collaboration with the marketing team to enhance campaigns and promotional activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design and Development

  • Assist in creating and designing print and digital materials such as brochures, flyers, banners, social media graphics, and advertisements.
  • Support the design and layout of presentations, reports, and other business documents.
  • Help maintain consistency in branding across all visual materials by following established style guides and brand guidelines.
  • Revise and update existing graphics to improve quality and effectiveness.
  • Assist with product packaging design and promotional merchandise.

Digital and Social Media

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce engaging social media content and campaigns.
  • Optimize graphics and layouts for web and social media platforms.
  • Ensure graphics meet the technical requirements of each platform (e.g., sizing, resolution).

Production and Coordination

  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas for feedback and revisions.
  • Liaise with external vendors (printers, suppliers) to ensure high-quality and timely production of materials.
  • Maintain an organized library of design files, templates, and assets.

Other Duties

  • Assist in photo and video shoots as needed.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and design software updates.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in graphic design or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.).

Competencies and Soft Skills

  • Strong creativity and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and ensure consistency.
  • Good understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to present design ideas and receive feedback.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of photography and video editing is an advantage.
  • Available to attend events and work flexibly, sometimes outside regular working hours.
