Position Overview
The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems within the organization. This role will involve supervising a team of mechanics, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Daily Operation
- Supervise and coordinate the work of mechanics and mechanical contractors.
- Plan and schedule maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime.
- Inspect mechanical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and mechanical codes.
- Train and mentor mechanics on proper maintenance and repair techniques.
- Maintain inventory of mechanical supplies and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Respond to emergency mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Task Related
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a mechanical supervisor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
- Familiarity with mechanical codes and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Valid mechanical supervisor license or certification is a plus.
