Job Description
Instruction and Lesson Planning:
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Teach reading, writing, grammar, literature, vocabulary, and speaking skills.
- Use a variety of teaching methods (e.g., direct instruction, group work, project-based learning) to engage students of diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Develop and administer assignments, quizzes, and tests to assess student progress.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Address and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Evaluate and monitor students' academic progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Track individual student performance and identify areas needing improvement.
- Offer guidance and support to students on academic and personal issues as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall academic goals of the school.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school meetings, and professional development sessions.

Job Specification
Education: A bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (a master’s degree is often preferred).
Certification: Valid teaching certification/license for secondary education (grades 6-12).
Experience: Previous teaching experience in secondary education is preferred, though entry-level teachers may also be considered.
