Job Description
Karuna Hospital, a well-established healthcare institution in Nepal committed to excellence in patient care, is looking for a qualified and personable Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team.As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a positive experience at the hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Front Desk & Patient Interaction:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs.
- Provide accurate information regarding hospital services, departments, and schedules.
Appointment & Records Management:
- Schedule and manage appointments using the hospital's software system.
- Maintain and update patient records and files securely.
- Confirm and remind patients of upcoming appointments.
Telephone & Communication Handling:
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate departments.
- Relay messages promptly and professionally.
Billing & Administration:
- Assist in processing billing and payment transactions at the reception desk.
- Coordinate with the finance department for billing queries or issues.
Documentation & Coordination:
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth workflow
Job Specification
- Minimum Qualification: +2 (Higher Secondary Education) in any discipline. A diploma or certification in office management, administration, or related field is an added advantage.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Nepali and basic English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software (preferred).
- Pleasant personality with a professional attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
