Job Description
- Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and cost-saving goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors for raw materials and supplies maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers while exploring new sources to diversify our supply chain.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract agreements implementing cost control measures to optimize procurement expenses.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure the consistency and quality of raw materials and supplies implementing rigorous quality standards for procurement.
- Manage inventory levels, minimizing excess stock and ensuring the timely availability of materials to meet production requirements.
- Streamline supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times monitoring and reporting on supply chain performance and suggest improvements.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and quality compliance in procurement maintaining accurate records and documentation of procurement activities.
- Prepare and manage the department's budget, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
Job Specification
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's preferred
- A minimum of 5years of experience in procurement and supply chain management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, cost control, and supply chain optimization.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental standards.
