Job Description
The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving sales targets for assigned products and verticals by implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, exploring new markets, and ensuring smooth coordination from order placement to delivery, installation, and after-sales support. The role also includes payment collection, reporting, market analysis, and coordination with internal teams and OEMs to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Assist in developing the annual sales strategy for assigned products and verticals in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Support the preparation of annual sales plans, including targets for products and verticals, and ensure alignment with the approved sales strategy.
- Contribute to cascading sales plans and targets to relevant team members.
Client Management & Business Development
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive client database, including visit plans, to build and sustain long-term relationships.
- Conduct planned client visits and engagement activities to strengthen relationships and generate future business opportunities.
- Identify and explore new markets and potential clients to expand the customer base and increase sales.
Sales Execution & Order Management
- Achieve sales targets for assigned products and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) across all relevant verticals.
- Understand the complete lead time from order placement to delivery and installation, and commit realistic timelines to clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation of products in accordance with agreements and purchase orders.
Reporting & Coordination
- Assist in developing and maintaining reporting formats to track order status, delivery, installation, and overall sales activities.
- Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of sales commitments.
- Submit regular sales activity reports and status updates to reporting managers.
Payment Collection & Compliance
- Ensure timely collection of payments from clients as per agreed terms and conditions.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, processes, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in the best interest of the organization.
After-Sales Support & Relationship Management
- Act as a Relationship Manager for assigned clients, ensuring timely and effective sales support.
- Ensure after-sales support activities are delivered in line with SLAs to maintain strong client relationships.
Market & Competitor Analysis
- Assist the Line Manager in conducting regular competitor analysis and assessing market requirements to support market leadership.
- Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to understand product updates, market trends, and ensure timely technical or commercial support.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Provide training and demonstrations to hospital staff on the proper use, care, and basic maintenance of medical equipment.
