Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead our kitchen operations and ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality dishes across our Tibetan, Chinese, Newari, and Bhutanese menus. The ideal candidate should possess excellent culinary skills, strong kitchen management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present authentic Tibetan, Chinese, Newari, and Bhutanese dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Develop and standardize recipes to ensure quality across all menu items.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations and coordinate kitchen staff efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the procurement of fresh ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Minimize food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen equipment and workstations.
  • Collaborate with management on seasonal menus, promotions, and new dish development.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders during busy service hours.

 

Job Specification
  • Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience as a Chef in a reputed restaurant or hospitality establishment.
  • Strong expertise in preparing Tibetan, Chinese, Nepali (Thakali) Newari, and Bhutanese cuisine.
  • Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Age: Up to 35 years.
  • Male candidates are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary training or certification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in multicultural cuisine and high-volume restaurant operations is preferred.
