Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, friendly, and customer-oriented Salesperson to join our vibrant fruit retail outlet. As the face of our store, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, helping customers with their purchases, and ensuring our fruit displays are fresh, clean, and appealing.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide information on fruit varieties, seasonality, and uses
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and displays
- Check fruit quality regularly to ensure freshness and remove any spoiled items
- Handle transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock shelves and assist with inventory as needed
- Uphold store policies and safety standards
Job Specification
- Minimum: High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Additional training in sales, customer service, or food handling is an advantage.
- Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in retail sales, especially in a food or produce-related environment.
- Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.
- Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and able to assist customers effectively.
- Sales Skills: Ability to upsell or promote seasonal and high-demand fruits.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication in the local language; basic English is a plus.
- Numeracy Skills: Able to weigh produce, calculate prices, and handle transactions.
- Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of different fruits, ripeness indicators, and storage requirements.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain clean, attractive displays and manage stock rotation.
