Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our Accounts and Finance Department. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in manufacturing industry accounting, possess in-depth knowledge of Nepali taxation laws, and demonstrate the ability to manage financial audits, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall financial management, budgeting, and accounting operations of the company.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Handle all aspects of taxation including VAT, TDS, Income Tax, and Excise Duty as per Nepali laws.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor cost control, inventory valuation, and production-related financial activities.
- Supervise and guide the finance team to ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement effective financial policies, systems, and internal controls.
- Support management in strategic decision-making through financial analysis and forecasting.
- Office reporting time is strictly before 9:30 AM; punctuality is mandatory.
Job Specification
- Education: MBS / MBA (Finance or Accounting)
- Professional Qualification (Preferred): CA / ACCA / CFA
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong command of Nepal’s accounting standards, tax rules, and financial laws.
- Proven experience in handling audits, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and other accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team and work under minimal supervision.
