Compliance Officer-Legal will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and ensuring legal compliance across contracts, merchant documentation, and organizational policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple legal tasks efficiently.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent law degree (Completed/Passed)
Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant field
Job Description
1. Drafting, Review, and Revision of Agreements
Draft, review, and revise legal agreements including contracts, partnership agreements, service agreements, and other commercial documents.
Ensure all agreements comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Identify legal risks and provide recommendations to safeguard organizational interests.
Maintain proper documentation and version control of all agreements.
2. Merchant Due Diligence and Documentation Screening
Conduct thorough due diligence of merchant applications and supporting documents.
Verify authenticity, completeness, and compliance of submitted documents.
Assess legal and compliance risks associated with merchants.
Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on screening outcomes.
3. Policy and Guideline Development
Draft, review, and update organizational policies, guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
Ensure policies are legally sound, clear, and enforceable.
Align internal guidelines with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Update policies based on regulatory changes and evolving business needs.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of contract law and legal compliance practices
Excellent drafting and written communication skills in English and Nepali
High attention to detail and ability to identify legal risks
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
Good organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in legal documentation and research
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
