Job Description

The Sales Officer will drive sales for ABC and EBC Nepal Trekking Adventure by engaging customers, converting inquiries into bookings, and supporting tour sales operations in the travel and tourism sector. This role is ideal for someone with around two years of experience who can manage sales targets under pressure and work independently as well as with a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound leads and inquiries (calls, messages, and walk-ins) and qualify customer needs for trekking and tour packages
  • Create and present tailored trekking itineraries, pricing options, and trip inclusions based on customer preferences and available dates
  • Follow up with leads systematically using a tracking approach to ensure timely conversion to confirmed bookings
  • Coordinate with operations (guides, hotels, transport partners) to confirm availability and support accurate customer commitments
  • Prepare basic sales documentation such as quotations, booking confirmations, and required customer details for trip commencement
  • Monitor sales performance, report daily/weekly progress, and recommend improvements to increase conversion rates
  • Maintain customer relationships before and after booking to support repeat sales and referrals
  • Requirements
  • Two years of sales experience in travel and tourism
  • Ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks effectively—handle peak inquiry volumes, deadlines, and competing priorities without missing follow-ups
  • Ability to multitask—manage lead tracking, quotation preparation, and customer follow-ups simultaneously
  • Ability to perform under pressure—close bookings and handle urgent customer requests, changes, and last-minute adjustments
  • ability to work hard—support field/activity requirements during high-demand periods and meet daily targets
  • Ability to work independently and also in a group—operate alone to manage leads while collaborating with operations and leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Experience using CRM tools or lead-tracking spreadsheets to manage pipeline and conversion metrics
  • Fluency in Nepali and English
