Job Description
The Sales Head will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, expanding market reach, and leading the sales team to achieve revenue targets. The role requires strong leadership, market insight, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets
- Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution channels
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team for high performance
- Set sales targets and monitor team performance regularly
- Conduct training and development initiatives for team members
Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and partners
- Explore new business opportunities in institutional and retail segments
- Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals
Revenue & Performance Management
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions when required
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with marketing and production teams for product planning
- Provide regular reports and insights to management
- Ensure smooth sales operations and customer satisfaction
Job Specification
Qualification
- MBA / MBS in Marketing, Sales, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in publication, FMCG, or related industries
- Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role will be an advantage
