The Stock Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock records, monitoring stock movement, and maintaining strict control over high-value inventory. The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, along with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records and inventory data.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory availability.
- Manage stock receipts, issues, returns, and inter-branch transfers.
- Track high-value inventory and ensure proper documentation and accountability.
- Identify and monitor slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stock.
Stock Verification & Reconciliation
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and periodic audits.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare stock adjustment reports where required.
- Ensure all jewelry, diamond, silver items, and accessories are properly barcoded/tagged before display, sale, or transfer.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to replace missing or damaged tags promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company tagging standards and inventory identification procedures.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Maintain proper documentation of all stock transactions.
- Generate stock aging and movement reports.
- Provide accurate inventory insights to management for decision-making.
Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate with sales, accounts, procurement, and management teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates in ERP or inventory systems.
- Support inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of high-value inventory.
- Implement stock control measures to prevent loss, theft, or pilferage.
- Maintain strict compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure confidentiality and accountability of all inventory records.
