Job Description

GEMS Group is looking for a passionate and experienced Basketball Coach to train and mentor students while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness. The coach will be responsible for developing students’ basketball skills, organizing training sessions, and preparing teams for competitions and tournaments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist students in developing and improving fundamental and advanced basketball skills.
  • Assess students’ performance and identify areas that require improvement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct individual as well as group basketball training sessions.
  • Develop engaging and innovative methods to help beginner or younger students understand and remember the rules of the game.
  • Identify different learning styles among students and adapt coaching techniques accordingly.
  • Ensure a safe, disciplined, and productive training environment for all students.
  • Prepare students for matches, competitions, and tournaments.
  • Attend and support students during matches, competitions, and tournaments as required.
  • Encourage teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.

 

Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in physical education, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience working as a Basketball Coach, Instructor, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and coaching methodologies.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor students effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and management.
