Job Description

The Store and Inventory Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient stock management operations. The role involves monitoring stock levels, conducting regular physical stock verification, managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods, and ensuring all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the system. The incumbent will coordinate closely with the Sales and Accounts departments to track stock movements, prepare inventory reports, and support inventory audits. The position also requires identifying stock discrepancies, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring the store or warehouse remains organized, secure, and compliant with company inventory management procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and update stock records on a daily basis.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with inventory records.
  • Ensure accurate stock entries and inventory updates in the system.
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts and Sales departments regarding stock movements and inventory reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation of incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Prepare inventory reports and stock status updates for management.
  • Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Ensure proper organisation and cleanliness of the store/godown.
  • Support periodic inventory audits and stock counts.
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's degree completed or currently running in management, commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Tally and basic computer operations.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Understanding of inventory control and stock management procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Honest, responsible, and trustworthy personality.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage godown operations efficiently.
  • Male candidates are preferred.
