Job Description
PNA, a reputed and well-established engineering firm is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team and lead structural design efforts across modular, steel, timber, and foundation systems. Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Engineering
- Design modular buildings following IBC and ASCE 7, including transportation loads, lifting analysis, and onsite assembly planning.
- Design PT slabs (ACI 318 / PTI), helical piles (ICC-ES / AC358), and deep/shallow foundation systems.
- Lead structural design of steel structures as per AISC 360 / AISC 341—portal frames, trusses, platforms, towers, and full connection design.
- Design timber/wood structures using NDS, including framing, CLT, glulam, LVL, and hybrid timber–steel systems.
Quality & Coordination
- Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication documents.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other disciplines across project phases.
Leadership & Management
- Manage project schedules and oversee BIM/drafting teams.
- Mentor junior engineers through training and technical guidance.
- Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, NDS, ACI, PTI, and internal QC procedures.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering with at least 8 years of experience.
- Proven senior-level experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis/design software like STAADPRO, ETABS, SAP etc.
- Strong understanding of U.S. building codes and engineering standards.
