JOB DESCRIPTION: MARKETING OFFICER

Job Title: Marketing Officer

Designation: Marketing Officer

Reports to: Assistant Marketing Manager

Location: Chandole, Kathmandu, Nepal

Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

Position Overview

Marketing Officer will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of marketing strategies. He/she will be responsible for supporting the marketing manager in overseeing the department's operations. Overall, he/she will organise and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.

Roles and Responsibilities

Marketing 

  • Assist Assistant Marketing Manager in preparing brand strategy, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision, and value proposition for short as well as long term.
  • Assist in maintaining day-to-day tasks and improving the marketing strategies of the company.
  • Preparing, planning, and project managing the publication of all publicity material and brand promotion for key product mix.
  • To use all necessary channels to ensure staff understands their roles in replicating and promoting the brand such that the organization lives the brand.
  • Provides leadership in designing and the production of all parts of marketing needs.
  • Develop and implement the company's social media strategy and maximize profile across all activities. Maintain social media presence.
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing, database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.
  • Promote the correct use of the company’s brand both internally and externally through digital channels.
  • Write, edit and proofread marketing material for use in different channels.

Research and Development

  • Undertake market research and establish the best way to reach target groups.
  • Analyse the impact of marketing campaigns and prepare measurement reports.
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets, and competitors’ activities.
  • Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities.
  • Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions.

Coordination 

  • Maintain strong communication between marketing executives and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote the success of activities and enhance the company’s presence.
  • Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
  • Other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Job Specification

Skills and Qualifications

  • Task Related
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • 3+ years of proven work experience

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing social media and digital marketing campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach
  • Clear and confident Verbal communicator Able to influence others Ability and desire to develop new and exciting ideas
  • Demonstrates the ability to forge and maintain relationships
  • Proficient written communication skills.
  • Available to attend events and work flexibly, sometimes outside regular working hours.
