Job Description
The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement of goods from origin to destination. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant transportation while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, transporters, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage domestic and international logistics operations
- Coordinate shipments with transporters, freight forwarders, and customs agents
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage logistics costs and optimize transportation routes
- Ensure compliance with customs, export/import, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, etc.)
- Resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate logistics records and reports
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and finance teams
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with transport vendors
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and export/import procedures
- Familiarity with customs regulations and trade compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software
