Job Description

Big Burrito, a lively Mexican-themed restaurant located in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, is looking for motivated and hardworking individuals to join our kitchen team. Whether you're an experienced cook or an enthusiastic cook helper, we welcome team members who are passionate about food, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook Mexican-inspired dishes such as burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, etc.
Assist with daily kitchen prep: chopping vegetables, marinating ingredients, preparing sauces, etc.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours.
Ensure proper food storage and handling, following hygiene and food safety standards.
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and workstations as needed.
Help with receiving and organizing kitchen inventory and supplies.
Collaborate with the kitchen team and follow instructions from senior staff or the head chef.

Job Specification

Prior experience as a cook or kitchen helper in a restaurant is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, cooking techniques, and hygiene practices.
Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and take on various kitchen tasks.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours.
Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills (basic Nepali or English).
