Job Description
Aksharaa School is seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Teacher to join our elementary teaching team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop digital literacy, computational thinking, and safe technology practices while fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. This role involves designing engaging, age-appropriate lessons, integrating technology into the learning environment, and supporting the holistic development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and deliver interactive computer lessons for elementary students, aligned with the school curriculum.
Teach digital literacy, coding fundamentals, safe online practices, and responsible use of technology.
Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving through technology-based activities.
Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on students’ progress using projects, tests, and practical assignments.
Maintain accurate academic records, including lesson plans, attendance, and student performance reports.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across subjects and enhance teaching methodologies.
Participate actively in school programs, trainings, co-curricular activities, and ICT initiatives.
Uphold the school’s values, policies, and professional ethics, serving as a role model for students.
Job Specification
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in an elementary school or similar educational environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, digital literacy, and elementary coding.
Proficiency in educational software, digital tools, and technology-enhanced teaching methods.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
