Job Description

Position Title: National Sales Head
Location: Kathmandu with travel across Nepal

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute the national sales plan aligned with company goals and market dynamics.

  • Design and implement sales forecasting, and pricing strategies.

  • Identify new revenue streams, including institutional buyers, government tenders, and export opportunities.

  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for all regions and ensure achievement.

Market Development & Channel Expansion

  • Build and expand the national distribution network—build new distributors, dealers, and bulk buyers

  • Strengthen channel performance through structured review meetings, incentive schemes, and performance tracking.

  • Lead efforts to penetrate new geographies and increase brand visibility at the trade and retail levels.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with large institutional buyers, wholesalers, and traders.

  • Negotiate high-value contracts and long-term supply agreements.

  • Track competitor pricing, channel schemes, and product strategies to maintain market competitiveness.

Sales Operations & Execution

  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales performance and take corrective actions where necessary.

  • Coordinate with the supply chain and production teams to ensure product availability, dispatch efficiency, and order fulfilment.

  • Ensure consistent execution of sales campaigns, promotions, and trade activities across all regions.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and monitor Regional Sales Heads and Key Account Managers to ensure performance against targets.

  • Conduct sales reviews and implement structured follow-ups to track field execution and pipeline movement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business management or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive sales experience in agro-commodity/ FMCG business, with at least 5 years in national/regional leadership role.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, growing business, turning around under-performing regions/channels.

  • Deep knowledge of agro-commodities market in Nepal– product lifecycle, seasonality, supply chain challenges, pricing volatility.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Able to travel extensively across Nepal.
