Position Title:Â National Sales Head
Location:Â Kathmandu with travel across Nepal
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute the national sales plan aligned with company goals and market dynamics.
Design and implement sales forecasting, and pricing strategies.
Identify new revenue streams, including institutional buyers, government tenders, and export opportunities.
Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for all regions and ensure achievement.
Market Development & Channel Expansion
Build and expand the national distribution network—build new distributors, dealers, and bulk buyers
Strengthen channel performance through structured review meetings, incentive schemes, and performance tracking.
Lead efforts to penetrate new geographies and increase brand visibility at the trade and retail levels.
Customer & Market Engagement
Develop and maintain relationships with large institutional buyers, wholesalers, and traders.
Negotiate high-value contracts and long-term supply agreements.
Track competitor pricing, channel schemes, and product strategies to maintain market competitiveness.
Sales Operations & Execution
Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales performance and take corrective actions where necessary.
Coordinate with the supply chain and production teams to ensure product availability, dispatch efficiency, and order fulfilment.
Ensure consistent execution of sales campaigns, promotions, and trade activities across all regions.
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and monitor Regional Sales Heads and Key Account Managers to ensure performance against targets.
Conduct sales reviews and implement structured follow-ups to track field execution and pipeline movement.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business management or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 10-15 years of progressive sales experience in agro-commodity/ FMCG business, with at least 5 years in national/regional leadership role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets, growing business, turning around under-performing regions/channels.
Deep knowledge of agro-commodities market in Nepal– product lifecycle, seasonality, supply chain challenges, pricing volatility.
Excellent strategic thinking, commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Able to travel extensively across Nepal.
