Location: Project Site (Hydropower Project Area)

Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management, supervision, and coordination of all on-site construction activities for the hydropower project. The role requires ensuring that the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The incumbent will report directly to the Board of Directors (BOD) and coordinate closely with engineers, consultants, and site teams.
Key Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities:
1. Project Management
Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and work programs.
Monitor site progress and take corrective actions to meet deadlines.
Prepare and present monthly procurement plans to the BOD during the first week of every month.
Provide daily updates on machinery status and utilization across all sites under the project.
2. Team Coordination
Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and laborers effectively.
Ensure proper resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
Conduct regular coordination meetings to review progress and address operational challenges.
Facilitate smooth coordination among multiple construction sites under the project.
3. Quality Assurance
Ensure that all construction work aligns with approved designs, drawings, and specifications.
Conduct periodic site inspections to maintain strict quality control.
Address any quality or quantity issues in compliance with the approved BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
4. Health & Safety Management
Enforce and monitor compliance with all site safety regulations and company policies.
Organize safety meetings and on-site training for personnel.
Investigate any on-site accidents and ensure timely corrective actions.
5. Budget and Cost Control
Monitor and manage project expenses within the approved budget.
Review and verify all purchase orders, invoices, and related financial documents.
Prepare and verify bills under your supervision before presenting them to the BOD.
Collaborate with management to forecast project costs and resource needs.
6. Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary liaison between the site and external stakeholders including clients, consultants, suppliers, and local authorities.
Provide regular project progress updates to the management and stakeholders.
Handle on-site issues and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
7. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and incident documentation.
Ensure proper recordkeeping of all site activities for internal and external audits.
Prepare and submit comprehensive final project documentation upon completion.
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction and management of Hydropower Projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects in challenging terrain will be an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of construction project management tools and techniques.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
